Spartan Soccer Complex
Soccer has been played at SJSU since 1927. The rich tradition includes 25 All-Americans, the 1968 Herman Award winner and 16 NCAA Tournament Appearances. In 2015, the women's program won the Mountain West Conference tournament for the first time, and this past year, backed it up by winning the first ever Mountain West regular season title, which now means SJSU will host the 2018 Mountain West Conference championship. The men also ended on a high, making it to the finals of the WAC tournament defeating nationally ranked Air Force along the way.
The first phase of the new Spartan Soccer Complex, which includes a natural grass surface, scoreboard and temporary seating for 500, was completed in the spring of 2017. Lights will be added for the 2018 season. For the second phase, we are fundraising for bleacher seating for approximately 2,000, locker rooms, coaches offices, player lounge and training room to make this one of the finest college soccer facilities on the West Coast.
With the first phase complete, we want our programs to play in one of the elite college soccer facilities in the country, and we need your help. Recruiting will be enhanced once the second phase is completed making this a state of the art facility.
